Hi, my name is Connor Dunleavy, and I’m the newest agent with The Charles Nedder Team. Some of you have been asking me, how I got into real estate, so I thought I’d answer that for you today.

So to start out, I had an interest in taking more business courses. While I was at Fairfield University getting my B.A. in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in American Studies, I didn’t have the chance to focus as much on business as I’d like to have, so I started taking a real estate course in my hometown, Trumbull, Connecticut.

That real estate class ran for about 60 hours and the learning process was really smooth. I loved how much I was learning, and I liked getting to make a connection with my classmates that were in the same position as me.

The process after the 60-hour course wasn’t simple, it wasn’t just a get your certificate and start sort of thing, but they did set me up for success in the licensing process. I took an exam at the end of the course, then waited for PSI in Las Vegas to review my application so I could take the state exam.

When I was recording this week’s video I was still an intern with the team, but now I’m a full-time agent with The Charles Nedder Team. I’m so excited to continue to learn and grow as a professional with the help of the team that Charles has assembled, and I couldn’t have picked a better bunch to learn from.

They’re taking the time to show me all the ropes of the business. Walking me through all the technology, the marketing, and how they make the connections that they’re known for.

If you’re looking for a team to join or looking for a team to guide you through the real estate process, I couldn’t recommend, please reach out. The Charles Nedder Team, now including me, would be so happy to help.
